I am not a professional music reviewer.  I am just writing my view of each songs below:

1) Song - Yaarumila
Singers - AR Rahman, Shweta Mohan and Srinivas
Song Duration - 4.34 Minutes

A neat and beautiful song with vintage touch.  Since the film is set in 1930's the song suits the theme.  It might remind you of few old songs including ar rahman's iruvar.  Still the song  is beautiful on its own way.  Such a soothing melodious number.  You will fall in love with the song in few listens.  A simple and subtle song.

2) Song - Aye Mr. Minor!
Singers -  Haricharan and Shashaa Tirupati
Song Duration - 4.45 Minutes

A beautiful romantic number again with vintage touch.  In few listens you ll go crazy on this song.   Feel good romantic number.

3) Song - Vaanga Makka Vaanaga
Singers - AR Rahman, Haricharan and Dr. Narayanan
Song Duration - 3.36 Minutes

I guess this should be the introduction song.  The song was released as a single earlier and i hope you might have heard it many times.  Though the song is not too good to listen on repeat mode, it will go well with the movie.

4) Song - Sandi Kuthirai
Singers - Haricharan
Song Duration - 3.58 Minutes

This is my pick of the album.  The song is beautifully composed and orchestrated.  Very creative song.  It is like the vintage song of AR Rahman in MSV's style.  The song sounds like as if ARR was born in 1920's very nice.   It is a kind of old song like (viswanathan vellai vennum).  Still the song is fully stamped with arr's touch.  No other music composers could have composed song like this for this movie.  ARR again proves his genius.

5) Song - Sollividu Sollividu
Singers - Mukesh
Song Duration - 4.26 Minutes

This song is more like "Sakthi Kodu" from Baba.  This song is highly energetic and the orchestration is extra-ordinary.  This will be good to watch on screen.

6) Song - Thirupugazh
Singers - Vaani Jayaram
Song Duration - 2.21 Minutes

This is more of a devotional kind of track.  It will be nice to watch and feel it on screen.

7) Song - Alli Arjuna
Singers - Haricharan and Bela Shende
Song Duration - 10:28 Minutes

This is the main song in the film.  This song has lot of sub songs.  Guess these songs will be played during the dramas in the film.  This song has many varieties from folk to classic.

Over all this is a very nice album from AR Rahman.  My rating will be 9/10 for this Album.
